Finaly I have my own Gentoo production server up and running (by the way, I'm not using Arch ;).

This was not easy as I had to compile a working kernel the first try, or start over again with the whole installation. On a VPS you can not boot from a stick to fix thing later, so the only choice left is re-install.

But as you can see the machine is running! With a minimal kernel, a sturdy firewall and some very experimental software. During the next few weeks I wil be posting here about my adventures on the Gentoo cli.
